Development Manager - Future Opportunity

We are seeking a Development Manager to join our Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) team at Electronic Arts in Bogota, Colombia. As a Development Manager, you will oversee QA project planning and execution with your studio partners, collaborating with development teams and QA peers to coordinate project schedules, strategize tests, and manage project metrics.

Responsibilities:

• Project Management:
• Oversee project schedules and ensure timely delivery of milestones
• Modify priorities on the fly based on critical changes
• Balance scope, timelines, and overall project quality
• Identify and mitigate risks, manage blockers, prioritize tasks, and ensure project goals are met
• Ensure effective reporting to leadership and stakeholders

• Team Leadership and Collaboration:
• Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders, including developers, analysts, and producers
• Conduct regular meetings, such as stand-ups and planning sessions, to align team efforts
• Communicate project expectations and progress updates effectively
• Encourage partner engagement

• Resource Management:
• Determine and manage resource requirements for the project
• Handle capacity planning, scheduling, and tracking of tasks

• People/Talent Management:
• Manage, mentor, and support QA team members
• Conduct performance reviews, career development, and training
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
• 3+ years of experience in leadership roles in QA and project management roles
• 3+ years of people management experience
• Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and bug tracking tools
• Understanding of software development processes
• Stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience with white-box/gray-box testing techniques
