Description
We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Lincoln Private Hospital, part of Circle Health Group. This is a bank role working on an 'as and when required' basis, providing cover for existing staff during busy periods and annual leave.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting medication reviews for inpatients and outpatients, identifying interactions and opportunities for medicines optimisation
- Providing tailored advice to patients on treatment plans, side effects, and lifestyle considerations
- Supporting safe prescribing through reconciliation, clinical screening, and dose adjustment
- Reviewing and authorising prescriptions in line with clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Promoting safe and cost-effective use of medicines
- Collaborating with procurement, stock control, and pharmacy technicians to ensure medicine availability
- Monitoring and reporting medication incidents and adverse drug reactions
Applicants should have:
- A degree in Pharmacy (MPharm, BSc, or BPharm)
- GPhC registration as a Pharmacist
- Previous experience in a clinical hospital pharmacy role
- Strong knowledge of therapeutics, clinical guidelines, and pharmaceutical legislation
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Confidence using electronic prescribing and medication administration systems
Circle Health Group offers a competitive hourly rate of up to £27.00 per hour, depending on experience, training, and qualifications.
