Description

Opening. This role is responsible for leading the development of battery management systems for electric vehicles. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in the automotive industry.

What you'll do

  • Plan BMS software maturity level releases aligned with overall vehicle development timelines
  • Develop and document BMS software requirements
  • Oversee BMS testing activities
  • Manage and track BMS-related issues and bug resolution
  • Lead the BMS system development team
  • Manage BMS suppliers
  • Act as the interface between the team and relevant stakeholders
  • Provide regular project status reports

What you need

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 3–5 years of experience in the automotive industry
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with local and international teams
  • Experience with battery systems, BMS, or related fields
  • Solid understanding of BMS architecture and functionality
  • Knowledge of high-voltage (HV) architecture in NEV (New Energy Vehicle) platforms
  • Familiarity with Volkswagen vehicle development processes and regulations
  • Familiarity with supplier quality management in the automotive field
  • Proficient with tools such as CANoe, CANape, diagnostic testers, etc.
  • Proficient with systems such as Jira/Confluence, Polarian, Codebeamer etc.
  • Proven experience in team management
  • Fluent in Chinese and English (mandatory); German language skills are a plus
