Description
We are seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Chelsfield Park Hospital in Kent. This is a part-time role for 15 hours a week, with a flexible shift pattern.
The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and labelling of medicines, support the safe supply of medicines, monitor stock levels, and respond to basic enquiries from patients and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and labelling of medicines for inpatients, outpatients, and discharge prescriptions under appropriate supervision.
- Support the safe supply of medicines, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and distribution to wards and departments.
- Monitor stock levels and expiry dates, helping maintain accurate inventory across the pharmacy and clinical areas.
- Assist with the completion of relevant records, prescription tracking, and data entry on pharmacy systems.
- Respond to basic enquiries from patients, nursing staff, or other colleagues in a professional and helpful manner.
- Adhere to all health and safety, infection prevention, and medicines management protocols.
Requirements:
- Good general education including literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience in a customer service, healthcare, or stock-handling role.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under supervision.
Salary and Benefits:
- Up to £27,000.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training, and qualification)
