We're looking for a FinCrime Operations Team Lead - AML Investigations to join our team in Hyderabad. This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wise's mission by helping identify suspicious activity and keeping Wise compliant.
You will help us build a team in Hyderabad and join a larger team distributed across 5 different offices worldwide. As an AML Investigation Team Lead, you will be a people leader with a mindset that allows you to lead and support team members and build effective operational processes.
Your daily tasks will include analysing payment patterns and identifying suspicious activity. Your responsibility will be to ensure investigators have the right tools to do that efficiently.
Key responsibilities:
- Take strong ownership of operational management and people leadership or specific functions within the AML investigations domain
- Develop effective operational processes, task allocation, training, and performance management to deliver regulatory obligations, risk management, quality assurance, and great customer experience with a tightly managed cost base
- Develop and maintain documentation of processes and projects within your area
- Measure and work towards improving team KPIs and meeting SLAs
- Build, lead, and develop an AML operational team with a strong sense of community
- Collaborate with other leads, product teams, and compliance teams to manage operational impact of changes and identify opportunities to improve customer experience, increase automation, or improve operational efficiencies
Qualifications:
- Eligible to work in Hyderabad
- Team lead experience with AML Investigations knowledge
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Good understanding of and ability to analyse and move team's metrics
- Proven track record of taking ownership and responsibilities
- Great communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and days
