Staff Software Engineer, Space Special Programs

Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Space Special Programs team in Chantilly, VA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the full lifecycle of flight software, ground test software, and ground station software at both embedded and application levels.

As the lead for the software engineering team, you will architect software systems, understand the full range of tasks, and mentor and grow your team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing market-leading hardware-based products
• Driving product maturity through rapid prototyping, design verification, and qualification activities
• Applying modern space-flight software design standards and guidelines
• Architecting and designing flight, ground, and payload systems
• Leading the team in establishing internal guidelines and best practices
• Conducting peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews
• Helping drive development, integration, and test activities to meet schedule

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or a similar field
• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years of leading a software engineering team
• Experience with embedded C code, device drivers, and algorithm implementation
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
