Description
The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is seeking a Sr. Tier II / Configuration Management Network Technician to support computer data communications systems. The primary role involves providing design specifications, testing, and inspections for computer networks, planning and implementing upgrades, and analyzing, organizing, and troubleshooting hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling.
Responsibilities:
- Support the installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices.
- Create and maintain up-to-date records of all system components (hardware and software).
- Respond to and resolve incident tickets.
- Establish and maintain consistency of system or product performance, functions, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information.
- Draft and implement standard network change requests.
- Coordinate with external Configuration Management stakeholders.
- Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.
- Develop policy for documenting and changing baseline project configuration items.
- Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching.
- Utilize complex network analysis tools to identify and correct problems in the network.
- Familiar with Layer 3 protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE.
- Familiar with Visio, ServiceNow, and Confluence.
- Support operations from a Configuration Management perspective.
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS and Juniper JUNOS OS.
- Maintain the network configuration baselines to ensure it follows DISA STIG guidelines.
- Documenting and changing baseline project network configuration items.
- Maintain historical Configuration Management records.
- Provide support to the Configuration Management Board.
- Create/provide drawing, diagraming, and network mapping expertise.
- Manage Configuration Management support to the creation of IT-IA-IM software executables.
- Utilize complex network analysis tools to identify and build network maps.
- Provide support to the Configuration Control Board (CCB).
- Establish, train, and maintain network drawing standards.
- Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.
- May have up to 10% COMSEC responsibilities.

Requirements:
- Required Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly
- 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education
- Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
