Description
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Research Manager to oversee assigned direct reports within our PI MS team.
As a Clinical Research Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision of assigned direct reports, including detailed performance review and management, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining effective relationships with the management team and internal/external clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing regulatory oversight of direct reports, ensuring regulatory training is executed and implemented
- Escalating issues and following them through to proper resolution
- Ensuring training record compliance and updating training records
- Providing input to relevant SOPs and standard plans/templates
- Assisting with coordination and implementation of onboarding for new direct reports
- Holding staff accountable for issue escalation, quality, and compliance with project plans and contract obligations
- Coaching staff to own effective Investigator relations and oversight
- Reporting status of assigned workload and ensuring allocation reports are updated
- Performing weekly review of direct report billable hours and utilisation
- Adhering to global tools for monitoring and utilisation forecasting
- Assisting with staff recruitment, expense management, and expense report approval
- Liaising with internal and external customers for process improvement initiatives
- Encouraging use of standardised processes and tools
- Supporting department processes, such as Quality Control Visits
- Identifying, developing, and implementing measures to improve department efficiency
- Managing staff time, PTO, and salary reviews
- Working in a client-facing environment, as needed
Requirements:
- University/college degree in life sciences or certification in a related allied health profession
- 5 years of direct clinical research experience or combined with other relevant experience
- Proficiency in managing direct reports or equivalent combination of education and experience
