Testing & Validation Technician II - Auto Development Center

Honda is seeking a Testing & Validation Technician II to join their team at the Auto Development Center in Raymond, Ohio. The successful candidate will support the Lighting and Vision Department by conducting laboratory tests on electric and internal combustion engine vehicles.

The role involves preparing and executing development and validation tests for new-model lighting and vision systems, collecting and analysing data from instruments and acquisition systems, and evaluating lamps, lighting controls, visibility systems, camera- or sensor-based vision functions, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting contract staff through training, quality control, and accountability
• Identifying and solving potential problems with part quality
• Identifying potential or current test performance issues and applying countermeasures
• Directing the proper use of test equipment and serving as a Subject Matter Expert for assigned lab test modes and equipment
• Performing accurate and efficient testing per test procedure instructions with a priority on Safety
• Obtaining and maintaining appropriate training, such as HDMA driver's license, large equipment license, machinist, CMM, etc.

The ideal candidate will have:

• An Associate's degree in science, engineering, or automotive, or equivalent experience
• 5 years of research and development laboratory testing experience
• Strong technical skills, including data acquisition, test equipment, testing process, instrumentation, CAD/engineering drawings, Microsoft Office Suite, Coordinate Measurement Machines, High Speed Video, Electronic and Hydraulic Control Systems, and leadership
