As a Software Engineer on this team, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable microservices in Java (Spring Boot / REST / gRPC) for optical network management and control plane workflows.
Key responsibilities:
- Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests in Python (PyTest, custom test harnesses) as part of your day-to-day feature deliverables.
- Integrate automated Python test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitLab CI) to guarantee zero regression and rapid release cycles.
- Collaborate with Technical Leads, Product Managers, and team members in an Agile Scrum model to deliver resilient, production-ready software.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline with 1 to 3 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong foundation in Core Java, OOP design patterns, data structures, and building RESTful microservices.
- Practical experience writing clean, maintainable Python automation scripts/test suites for API, integration, and functional validation.
- Hands-on familiarity with Docker, containerized deployments, and basic Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge of relational/NoSQL databases and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with Optical Networking / SDN concepts, YANG data modeling, or NETCONF/RESTCONF protocols.
Benefits:
- Opportunities for growth and professional development in a global company.
- Collaborative and empathetic work environment.
