Monetization Services Specialist - Pricing Activation

Job Overview

We are seeking a Monetization Services Specialist - Pricing Activation to join our growing Finance Operations (FinOps) team at Stripe. This role involves improving user experience through accurate and timely onboarding of contracts, workflows, and delivering improvements in our integrated financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Own accurate and timely activation of sold custom pricing contracts.
• Manage the pricing activation of custom pricing contracts in Stripe’s billing systems, from intake and requirements validation through configuration and post-activation checks.
• Translate legal terms into accurate billing configurations; identify and escalate ambiguous or conflicting terms.
• Perform quality-control and reconciliation checks to confirm that configurations produce the expected billing outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and improve operational processes and programs.
• Investigate and resolve user inquiries related to onboarding and rate discrepancy issues.
• Analyze processes and implement changes to scale operations and improve user experience.
• Assist with system implementations for billings, collections, and ad-hoc audit support.
• Help scale and optimize processes by executing key projects and programs.
• Gain insights into how businesses operate and scale on Stripe.
• Contribute to building a new team and operational culture for Stripe.
• Participate in monthly and quarterly flux analysis of key metrics and ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of relevant financial operations/pricing activation experience or 4+ years of strong customer service experience with a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Tech, or relevant field.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in gSuite tools, Salesforce, and MS-Office products.
• Experience working with contracts and large data sets.
• Demonstrated history of taking on challenging projects and producing results.
• Solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for establishing best practices.
• Self-disciplined, diligent, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with payments, fintech, SaaS, or transaction-based business models.
• Builder's mindset and willingness to question assumptions.
• Enthusiasm for building scalable systems and solving operational problems.
• Experience with SQL/data-analysis tools.
