Description
Investor's Business Daily seeks a Markets Writer to create content that explains market mechanics and sound investing methods, analyzes market action, and provides trading ideas. The position can be remote or based at IBD's Los Angeles headquarters.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately report and write engaging articles that benefit investors, using IBD's proprietary stock market research and investing strategy.
- Keep up to date on news and trends related to assigned coverage areas, including the general market, IBD indexes, and stock performance lists.
- Develop strong SEO for content, including web headlines, page titles, URLs, meta descriptions, and keywords.
- Use databases, stock charts, and financial statements to gather information for articles.
- Participate in social media to promote IBD content and cultivate relationships with sources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or relevant experience.
- At least three years of experience as a reporter or editor, including some financial journalism.
- Excellent writing skills, accuracy, and news judgment.
- Strong understanding of business fundamentals, financial statements, and the stock market.
