Senior Revenue Accountant

Databricks is looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our team. You will report to the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting and play a hands-on role in the full accounting close cycle for revenue recognition.

The impact you will have:

• Own the close, end to end. Perform monthly close activities including usage review, journal entry preparation, flux analyses, account reconciliations, and analytics.
• Apply ASC 606 with precision and judgment. Ensure proper application of ASC 606 to customer contracts.
• Dig into the details. Pull, validate, and troubleshoot data yourself.
• Automate relentlessly. Identify manual, repetitive processes and take ownership of building or championing automation.
• Leverage AI to work smarter. Use AI tools and large language models (LLMs) to accelerate routine tasks.
• Support financial reporting. Prepare key metrics, financial statement disclosures, and ad hoc analyses for management.
• Collaborate across functions. Partner with Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, Billing, FP&A, and FDS teams to implement systematic processes and automation.
• Support the audit with confidence. Prepare schedules, document controls, participate in walkthroughs, and liaise with auditors.
• Drive process improvement. Identify bottlenecks, propose solutions, and execute on improvements that accelerate the cycle and reduce risk.

What we look for:

• Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting
• 5+ years of combined experience in public accounting and/or a corporate revenue accounting role
• Solid understanding of ASC 606 and complex revenue recognition principles
• Operational accounting experience at a rapidly growing company
• Hands-on and detail-oriented
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
• Proficient with Excel, NetSuite, and Salesforce
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., LLMs, copilots, scripting assistants) in a professional context
