As an Assistant Manager, IFRS 17 Reporting, you will play a crucial role in supporting the preparation of financial reports and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting Support:
  • Assist in preparing IFRS 17 financial reporting, including monthly, half-year, and year-end financial statements.
  • Support preparation of statutory reporting and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare preliminary analysis and commentary on financial performance for review by the Manager.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data submission to Prudential group finance and other stakeholders.
  • Process & System Enhancement:
  • Support initiatives to improve reporting processes, systems, and tools.
  • Collaborate with Actuarial, Finance, and IT teams to enhance data quality and automation.
  • Governance & Control:
  • Maintain documentation and assist in implementing effective control processes.
  • Support audit readiness and liaise with auditors for information requests.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Manager and team members to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Provide guidance to junior staff where necessary.
  • Ad-hoc Projects:
  • Participate in special projects requiring financial reporting and analysis expertise.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) or progress towards one is preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in insurance or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS standards (IFRS 17 experience is an advantage).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with process improvement and automation tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
