Hong Kong Corporate Actuarial

The Hong Kong Corporate Actuarial acts as a financial management hub, providing professional advice and services to senior management in state-of-the-art actuarial areas.

The successful candidate will report to the Hong Kong Chief Actuary and lead a team of around 15 junior to middle-level actuaries in delivering high-quality financial reporting by managing insurance liabilities of approximately US$50 billion.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead IFRS 17 quarterly financial reporting in compliance with relevant internal and accounting standards
• Lead HK FRS and Macau FRS reporting and actuarial-related development and auditor interactions
• Support monthly financial forecasting and planning processes on earnings-related metrics
• Lead earnings assessment in supporting business initiatives and optimization
• Provide leadership and coaching to junior actuaries in the team
• Champion valuation and reporting processes improvement and efficiency

Required Qualifications:

• University degree holder
• Professional actuarial qualifications
• At least 12 years of experience in the insurance-relevant industry
• Solid actuarial knowledge and experience in valuation and financial reporting
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong project management skills
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills
• Team leader who is good at coaching and inspiring people
• Able to manage and work flexibly under a dynamic business environment
• Effective command of English, both spoken and written
