Customs Associate

Flexport is seeking a Customs Associate to join its customs operations team in Canada. As a Customs Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods into Canada, supporting Flexport's end customers in achieving their compliance goals.

Responsibilities:

• Create and submit customs entries for high-profile clients
• Digitally prepare and submit documentation required for goods to clear with CBSA
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CBSA regulations and procedures
• Review and organize incoming documents for compliance
• Provide exceptional customer service support to clients
• Learn and follow global customs laws and regulations
• Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of customs compliance

Requirements:

• CCS Designation
• Good understanding of CARM
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Obsession with client happiness
• Courage to challenge the status quo
• Understanding of international trade and customs regulations
• Familiarity with CBSA product classification and rulings
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills, including G Suite applications
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing customs practices
