Environmental Operative

We are seeking a proactive Environmental Operative to deliver cleaning services to client facilities in and around Fort Kinnaird, Edinburgh, ensuring a clean and safe shopping environment for customers and staff.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Cleaning floors in building reception areas, including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass doors/windows
• Cleaning stainless-steel fixtures and barriers/glass door panels, and dry mopping black marble pillars
• Cleaning and sanitizing lifts, wiping down external and internal stainless-steel on lift doors/frames/lift runners, and removing smudges from mirrors
• Cleaning restrooms/showers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, and sweeping and mopping tile floors
• Setting up, stocking, and maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies
• Monitoring and maintaining sanitation and organization of assigned areas
• Assisting team leaders/supervisors when needed to ensure optimum service to clients
• Performing additional duties as needed, within reason
• Complying with monthly training sessions delivered by the supervisor/line manager as necessary

Requirements:

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Clean UK Driver's License
• Ability to use own initiative to identify and prioritize tasks
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Approachable and courteous manner
• Desire to work in an adult services environment
• Understanding of the need for confidentiality and discretion in an active corporate building
