Shopping Centre Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Shopping Centre Cleaner to join our housekeeping team at FORGE Shopping Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout a busy shopping centre environment, ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for customers, tenants, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the shopping centre.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas including malls, corridors, entrances, toilets, lifts, escalators, stairwells, and staff areas.
• Sweep, mop, polish, and disinfect surfaces as required.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and efficiently.
• Respond promptly to spillages and cleaning emergencies to maintain safety standards.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet paper, and hand towels in washroom facilities.
• Use cleaning equipment and machinery safely and correctly.
• Always follow health and safety procedures, including COSHH regulations.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, or damages to supervisors.
• Work as part of a team to ensure the shopping centre remains clean, presentable, and operational during busy trading periods.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public.

Requirements

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy public environment.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures is desirable.
