Analyst - Customs & Logistics

We are seeking an experienced Analyst - Customs & Logistics to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The successful candidate will be responsible for customs clearance and inland transportation of import and export consignments by air and sea from various ports in India.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with customs brokers, shipping lines, and freight forwarders for import and export shipments
• Manage EXIM activities, including imports of capital goods under duty-free schemes and issuance of licenses under various import/export promotion schemes
• Ensure compliance with customs matters, including customs clearance, EPCG licenses, project import licenses, and duty drawback
• Maintain liaison with senior government officials
• Initiate cost-effective projects

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of work experience, preferably with 5+ years in customs operations and HS classification/FTA analysis
• Any graduate degree, preferably with an MBA in import/exports
• Industry experience in automotive, engineering, or electronics
• Strong knowledge of import and export consignment customs clearance, air and sea
• Excellent communication skills and ability to draft replies to customs and liaise with government bodies
