Keywords Studios is seeking a Copywriter and Editor to join the Copywriting Team, a global team responsible for managing player-facing and internal knowledge content for a Keywords Studios client.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining clear, accurate, engaging knowledge content for both players and Player Support agents. This includes Self-Help articles that help players understand game-related topics and resolve common issues independently, as well as internal knowledge articles and FAQs that support efficient and consistent customer service.
As the team's English language and editorial expert, the Copywriter and Editor helps maintain high standards across all knowledge content, ensuring complex information is communicated in a clear, concise, and easy-to-follow way for different audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Create clear, concise, and engaging Self-Help articles that reflect the tone and style of the client's games.
- Keep up with game updates and proactively identify content that needs to be created and updated.
- Regularly review existing content to ensure it remains accurate, relevant, and useful to players.
- Create and maintain internal knowledge articles, FAQs, and pre-written responses to support accurate and efficient Player Support.
- Ensure information remains clear, consistent, accessible, and up to date across relevant knowledge platforms.
- Act as the team's English language and editorial expert, ensuring content meets high standards of grammar, clarity, structure, flow, and readability.
- Review and improve existing content while ensuring language and tone are appropriate for the intended audience and the client's games.
- Track relevant policy and process changes and ensure they are accurately reflected in knowledge content and documentation.
- Collaborate with the copywriting team and stakeholders to turn complex information into clear, easy-to-follow content.
- Support team members in developing their English language and instructional writing skills.
Requirements:
- Native Level proficiency (C2) with exceptional spoken and written communication skills.
- Degree-level education in English, Linguistics, Communications, or related fields is preferred.
- Proven experience in content creation with the ability to adapt writing style and tone for different audiences and purposes.
- A portfolio demonstrating a range of writing styles and contexts is a plus.
- Strong editing and proofreading skills with excellent attention to grammar, structure, consistency, and detail.
- Experience with instructional, knowledge-based, or customer-facing content is an advantage.
- Excellent ability to convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner across different audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple content tasks, documentation, and changing information effectively.
- Proactive and reliable, with the ability to follow tasks through to completion while keeping content and systems up to date.
- Experience working with Knowledge Bases or similar content platforms.
- Experience with Content Management Systems is an advantage.
- Comfortable working with common productivity tools such as Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Basic image-editing skills are a plus.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools, processes, and changing information.
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively within a globally distributed team.
