Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse, you will provide preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based on their individual needs. You will assess patients initially on admission to the unit and continually according to patient needs, condition change, or unit/department standards. You will serve as an advocate for patients and families regarding decisions affecting the Plan of Care. You will develop, implement, and modify the patient's plan of care according to the patient's progress.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients initially on admission to the unit and continually according to patient needs, condition change, or unit/department standards
• Serve as an advocate for patients and families regarding decisions affecting the Plan of Care
• Develop, implement, and modify the patient's plan of care according to the patient's progress
• Demonstrate knowledge of specific disease processes, treatments, interventions, and responses based on age specificity, patient's needs, condition, impairment, or disability
• Review physician orders and accurately transcribe to MAR
• Assess, collaborate, report, and coordinate the patient's transfer or discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge or transfer to another level of care with other members of the healthcare team and patient's family/SO

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred
• Current licensure in California as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum one year of recent NICU experience
• National RN Certification preferred
• BCLS required
• NRP required
• STABLE certification (within one year of hire)
