Lead Engineer Testing

We are seeking a Lead Engineer Testing to join our team at AVL Hungary Kft.

As a Lead Engineer Testing, you will build and manage a testing team, providing continuous support and guidance. You will develop AI-supported testing solutions with the methodology team in Graz and support vehicle calibration activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a testing team, including team utilization, prioritization of projects, workload planning, and coordination activities
• Developing AI-supported testing solutions with the methodology team in Graz
• Supporting vehicle calibration activities
• Planning, coordinating, and supervising tests and test campaigns, including test resources and engineering manpower
• Developing efficiency-enhancing measures for testing tasks
• Managing test engineering in the project
• Preparing and commissioning test vehicles and measurement technology
• Performing flashing control units, learning routines, and reading error memory
• Troubleshooting and documenting issues
• Planning, scheduling, and supervising test vehicle modifications and vehicle tests in various test environments
• Conducting vehicle measurements and ensuring measurement quality

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc degree
• Several years of experience in calibration and validation of control unit functions
• Good understanding of different vehicle systems (powertrain, ADAS, chassis, E/E, etc.)
• Proficiency in INCA & Vector Tools, GitHub Copilot, and Diagra
• English language proficiency, with German language being an advantage
• Open-minded, proactive, and able to think beyond boundaries
• Strong communication skills, team spirit, and interest in working in international teams
• Willingness to travel
