The Facilities team at Anduril Industries is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the physical infrastructure to ensure operational continuity, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safe operation, reliability, and maintenance of the campus mechanical infrastructure, including central utility plants, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, air handling systems, compressed air, process exhaust, and industrial piping networks.
  • Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for critical mechanical assets.
  • Provide engineering review and on-site support across the full lifecycle of campus construction projects.
  • Lead the commissioning, startup, test and balance, and acceptance testing of critical mechanical equipment and Building Automation Systems.
  • Conduct heating and cooling load studies, airflow/psychrometric analysis, and utility capacity planning.
  • Serve as a campus champion for mechanical, refrigerant, and pressure safety.
  • Optimize Building Automation Systems sequences of operation.
  • Collaborate with municipal utility providers.
  • Manage external mechanical contractors.

Requirements:

  • Experience in mechanical engineering, facilities engineering, or building systems commissioning.
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting central utility plants, industrial HVAC systems, compressed air, and process piping.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, psychrometrics, and testing standards.
  • Familiarity with the construction lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience commissioning critical mechanical systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to handle emergencies and planned maintenance outages.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience utilizing mechanical modeling and load calculation software.
  • Experience in high-availability or specialized environments.
  • Experience supporting mechanical and environmental requirements for secure spaces.

Salary Range: $86,000-$112,000 USD
