Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team at GenScript Supply Chain in Singapore.

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and procuring biological reagents, lab consumables, production equipment, instruments, and technical services. You will resolve after-sales issues, identify and onboard suppliers, conduct supplier performance reviews, analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities, and streamline procurement workflows.

Key responsibilities include:

• Sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and procuring biological reagents, lab consumables, production equipment, instruments, and technical services
• Resolving after-sales issues in various types of procurement
• Identifying, qualifying, and onboarding Singapore and international suppliers, maintaining a Qualified Supplier Database
• Conducting periodic supplier performance reviews and promoting continuous improvement
• Analyzing spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implementing strategies
• Streamlining procurement workflows and improving efficiency
• Partnering with R&D, Production, Quality, and Finance teams to align procurement with operational needs
• Supporting audit readiness and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies
• Mitigating contractual risks

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Procurement, preferably in life sciences, pharma, CRO/CDMO, or lab equipment sectors
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Basic contract review and negotiation skills
• Strong cross-cultural communication and fluency in English and Mandarin
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to perform under pressure
