Product Development Associate

We are seeking a Product Development Associate to join our Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of international fund legal vehicles and their sub-funds.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with MSIM Portfolio Management teams on new product development or product modifications
• Acting as a regional subject matter expert and go-to resource for product-related queries from Asia-based teams
• Liaising with local Asian external counsels and coordinating filings for new fund registrations and de-registrations
• Overseeing and maintaining fund registrations across Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, and future Asian jurisdictions
• Facilitating oversight and governance of new product initiatives and material changes to existing products
• Producing, responding to, and contributing to Asian regulatory requests, surveys, and periodic reports
• Leading and project managing new fund launches
• Managing relationships with product stakeholders across divisions
• Working with Distribution and investment teams on innovating new solutions for clients
• Driving new product development opportunities to grow product range and assets under management

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Good knowledge and understanding of product development of both Asian and European public funds and UCITs structures
• Experience working within a team in asset management or finance, ideally in Product, Finance, Legal, or Operations
• Strong quantitative, qualitative, and commercial skills
• Broad understanding of the asset management industry and its various operating functions
• Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese
