Constellation Schools - 7-8th Grade Math Teacher (Parma)

Constellation Schools are seeking a highly qualified 7-8th Grade Math Teacher in Parma, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing a superior education for all students and creating a positive classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development.

Responsibilities of the 7-8th Grade Math Teacher include:

• Preparing and delivering lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year
• Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students
• Maintaining accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
• Utilizing research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction
• Managing student behavior in the classroom
• Creating a positive classroom environment for students to learn in
• Utilizing school-approved curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students
• Implementing school-wide culture expectations and norms
• Communicating and meeting with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child
• Incorporating technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning
• Participating in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, as needed
• Collaborating and communicating effectively with colleagues

Requirements:

• Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area
• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to properly manage confidential information
• Ability to supervise students of various ages in different school settings
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
• Experience working within an urban environment
