Plant Technician (Power Generation) - Memphis

SpaceXAI is seeking a Plant Technician to support day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting at its power generation facility.

This is a hands-on role where you will inspect running equipment, respond to issues, restore systems, and keep generation and balance-of-plant online.

Responsibilities:

• Provide operational and maintenance support for plant mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process systems
• Perform daily inspections of critical systems and identify issues early
• Troubleshoot and repair operational issues
• Adjust, repair, or replace faulty mechanical, electrical, and controls components
• Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of plant control systems
• Support HMI/interface monitoring and maintain automated controls
• Write, follow, and execute MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs
• Identify and maintain spare parts inventory
• Coordinate and support scheduled system shutdowns and outages
• Support commissioning by witnessing equipment start-up and assisting with functional testing

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a technician or operator working with industrial mechanical, electrical, and/or control systems

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Associate’s degree in a technical field
• Experience operating or maintaining equipment in a power plant or similar industrial facility
• Experience writing and executing MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs
• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment
• Experience with generators, UPS, switchgear, HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, or plant water systems
• Experience using calibrated measuring instruments

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs (unassisted)
• Must be able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
• Must be willing to travel up to 25%
• Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed
