Description
Ajax Systems is seeking a new team member for the System division as a C++ Developer, specifically for the Video team.
The System division is responsible for creating and developing the software ecosystem of Ajax. The team works on OS Malevich and Video Management System, builds scalable cloud infrastructure, and creates client applications for various platforms, ensuring consistent operation of all system components.
Responsibilities:
- Support technical culture with tests and CD
- Collaborate with the team to continue working on a new product using video cameras for security tasks combined with traditional security sensors
- Develop engineering practices and improve code quality
- Participate in discussions of new product functionality and contribute to product development as part of the system
Requirements:
- Experience with C++ (4+ years, C++11/C++14)
- Experience with Boost, particularly boost.asio
- Understanding of process, thread, and asynchronous processing principles
- Ability to write modular/integration tests (TDD culture is a plus)
- Proficiency in Git, CMake, GDB
- Knowledge of Linux/Posix-compatible systems, Bash, and Linux kernel principles
- Practical experience designing and developing large systems
Nice to have:
- Experience with embedded systems and systems with limited computational resources
- Experience with streaming video
- Expert-level knowledge of signal transmission protocols and data streaming (RTSP)
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of RTP/RTCP protocol and stack
- Knowledge of HEVC, H.264 video codec formats
- Experience with GRPC/web sockets, WebRTC, GST, LiveMedia, Video codecs/playback
- Experience with multimedia packaging formats such as HLS, DASH, and encryption
- Experience with critical video applications and standards
- Familiarity with open-source libraries such as FFmpeg and OpenCV
