Assistant Manager, Life Underwriting

We are seeking an Assistant Manager, Life Underwriting to join our team in Hong Kong.

As an Assistant Manager, Life Underwriting, you will lead an underwriting team to deliver and meet company targets, underwrite and review proposals to ensure service pledge is achieved, and underwrite complicated cases with follow-up with sales channels.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead an underwriting team in handling underwriting assessments and providing excellent service to sales channels.
• Monitor team performance to ensure SLA is committed in good quality.
• Provide high-quality underwriting service with effective communications for sales channels.
• Perform risk assessment on case underwriting according to own underwriting authority.
• Review suggested cases from junior underwriters and provide coaching to them for staff development.
• Participate in relevant projects and implement underwriting initiatives or campaigns.
• Perform data analysis and prepare reports for performance monitoring.

Job Requirements:

• Solid track record in the underwriting field with over 8 years of relevant experience in life insurance underwriting, of which 4 years in a supervisory role.
• Professional qualification in Life Insurance, including FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute).
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• University degree in any discipline.
• Good command of English and Cantonese; fluent Putonghua will be an advantage.
• PC literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing.
