As a 2026 Robotics Engineer Intern, you will contribute to software-enabled solutions that are deployed to customers, optimizing for the delivery of value to the end-user.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to software-enabled solutions that are deployed to customers, optimizing for the delivery of value to the end-user.
  • Contribute to the design and development of existing software services across Anduril.
  • Develop software that runs on- and off-robotic platforms, using a variety of technologies.
  • Contribute to robotic software and hardware, including full lifecycle testing, monitoring and operation.
  • Contribute to test and simulation fixtures that operate with both software- and hardware-in-the-loop.
  • Support product manufacturing and deployment.
  • Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary engineering team, including Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, and Software Engineers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing tertiary education in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Approaching final year at the time of the internship.
  • Familiarity with algorithms, data structures, concurrency, testing, and robotics engineering at a level commensurate with the knowledge of a high-performing undergraduate student.
  • Experience writing software with one or more of: C++, C, Rust, or Python.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
  • Be a highly motivated learner, who wants to quickly grow in capacity and skills.
  • Be naturally curious, high ownership, and have a bias for action.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with autonomous vehicles.
  • Experience with motion planning.
  • Experience with sensors, signal processing, and computer vision.
  • Experience with mechatronics (EE/ME).
  • Familiarity with software or mechatronics engineering at a level commensurate with the knowledge of a high-performing undergraduate student.
