Math Special Education Teacher (9-12) 2026-2027

We are seeking a Math Special Education Teacher (9-12) for the 2026-2027 school year at Brooke High School in Boston, MA.

As a Special Education Teacher (referred to as a Student Support Coordinator at Brooke), you will build strong relationships with students to push them to be their best selves academically and personally. You will collaborate with colleagues to meet the needs of every student, ensure accommodations are met, and develop intervention plans.

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching daily support classes in math, science, life skills, and/or literacy
• Overseeing the drafting, implementation, and maintenance of IEPs and 504 plans
• Co-leading child study team meetings and coordinating standardized test accommodations, special education screenings, and related services
• Participating in regular data meetings and nearly 300 hours of professional development over the course of the school year

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in special education or a special education teaching license
• Working knowledge of federal and state special education laws
• Experience teaching math at the high school level
• Commitment to fostering diversity by cultivating anti-racist practices and removing bias
• Ability to start in July 2026

Benefits:

• Competitive salary range: $74,000-$130,000, commensurate with experience
• Additional $3,300 stipend for teaching a high-need subject area
