Description
As Director, Finance Commercial Operations, you will lead the Commercial Operations agenda for Sales & Account Management (SAM), partnering with regional commercial leaders, deal teams and business divisions to support growth, profitability and strong customer outcomes.
You will work closely with commercial teams to provide financial oversight on customer deals, ensuring decisions align with business objectives, pricing frameworks, licensing models, commercial policy and regulatory requirements. The role plays a central part in deal governance, providing recommendations on deal structures, approvals, risk considerations and commercial outcomes while working across Legal, Product, Tax, Order Management, Compliance, Credit Management and Commercial Policy to help ensure agreements are practical, commercially sound and executable.
In addition to its commercial responsibilities, this role provides leadership for a geographically dispersed team of approximately 17 professionals located across multiple regions. You will create a collaborative and high-performing environment, setting clear priorities, supporting professional development and ensuring consistent execution across locations.
The successful candidate will be a commercially minded leader with the judgement to balance growth, profitability, risk and customer outcomes in complex situations. Strong collaboration, attention to detail and sound decision-making are essential. You will also be an experienced people leader with a proven ability to lead, motivate and develop large, geographically dispersed teams.
Responsibilities:

Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Significant experience in Finance, Commercial Operations, Sales Finance, Commercial Policy, Strategy, Deal Desk, Legal, Product, Order Management or a similar commercial environment
- Significant experience operating within global, matrixed organisations and leading geographically dispersed teams
- Demonstrated success leading larger teams across multiple locations, creating high-performing and engaged environments while delivering consistent operational and commercial outcomes
