Description
CoreWeave is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our team in Hillsboro, OR. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating the cutting-edge infrastructure that powers our cloud.
The successful candidate will have experience with computer hardware, Linux Operating System, and data center operations. You will be expected to conduct hardware and network diagnostics, perform root cause analysis of hardware and software failures, and provide technical support to data center teams.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability.
- Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs.
- Perform root cause analysis of hardware and software failures.
- Train internal teams.
- Develop documentation.
- Provide technical support to data center teams.
- Develop scripts to update server and networking hardware.
- Maintain inventory.
- Assemble and install equipment.
- Perform maintenance of test and tool equipment.
- Travel up to 10% of the time to other data center locations as required.
Requirements:
- Computer hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling).
- Linux Operating System experience.
- Ability to regularly transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods.
- Ability to maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and react quickly to issues.
Preferred qualifications include hands-on or education-based experience with computer hardware, data center experience, computer networking experience, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages experience, and experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS.
