Chief Accountant

We are seeking a Chief Accountant to join our team in Bogotá, Colombia. As a Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring 100% compliance with local legislation, maintaining accurate and transparent accounting records, and providing timely financial information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Guarantee compliance with local legislation, including statutory accounting standards, tax law, and civil law.
• Ensure accurate, transparent, and complete accounting records.
• Prepare and distribute financial reports to stakeholders.
• Assist with year-end audits and manage relationships with external auditors.
• Drive efficiency by streamlining processes and utilizing available tools.
• Integrate accounting operations from a process, systems, and control perspective.
• Establish effective tax management in cooperation with tax specialists.
• Prepare reports on cash flow and working capital development.

Requirements:

• Relevant accounting qualification (Certified Management Accountant).
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a similar organisation.
• English language skills.
• Knowledge of local tax regulations, local GAAP, and IFRS.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• IT literacy and SAP HANNA knowledge.
