System Software Engineer

NVIDIA's System Software team is seeking a highly motivated system software engineer with a proven track record of developing and leading technologies in kernel space from end to end.

The successful candidate will work closely with multi-functional teams to develop system software solutions for kernel-level problems. They will discuss architectural details with hardware teams and collaborate to build software solutions. Participation in different stages of chip development, from inception to production, is also expected.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working closely with teams to develop system software solutions for kernel-level problems
• Discussing architectural details with hardware teams and building software solutions
• Participating in chip development stages from inception to production
• Following emerging trends in PCIE and connected sectors to boost performance and power efficiency
• Solving deep technical problems from existing and new architectures

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience working on core system software problems
• Extensive knowledge of PCIE and associated technologies
• Proficiency in C and kernel-level debugging
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Expertise in silicon bring-up of SOC products
• Experience developing software solutions using AI tools
• System-level knowledge extending beyond a single component
