Guest Service & Sales Representative (Part Time) - Hampton Inn Cascades - starting at $18/hour

We are seeking a Guest Service & Sales Representative to join our team at Hampton Inn Cascades in Sterling, Virginia. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for anticipating guest needs, exceeding expectations, and implementing creative solutions to provide exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional guest service, responding to guests in a friendly and positive manner
• Process check-ins and check-outs, verify billing, create reservations, and process special requests
• Assist guests with knowledge of hotel property, local attractions, and hours of operation of hotel outlets and services
• Work as a team player to meet guests' needs and contribute to the efforts of other departments
• Follow B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group's guest service recovery program
• Maximize room revenues by utilizing proper selling techniques and strategies
• Monitor room availability, follow restrictions, and adhere to booking policies and procedures
• Drive sales by up-selling rooms and amenities
• Manage workload by planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to regulations and hotel emergency procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1+ year of prior guest service experience in a hospitality setting
• Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis
