PRN Physical Therapist

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to work with our Good Samaritan locations in Albert Lea and Austin, MN.

The successful candidate will plan, organise and deliver physical therapy programs to help clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength and prevent deformities. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease
• Utilising tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards
• Documenting client/patient/resident information for evaluation and establishing therapeutic plans
• Educating clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises
• Demonstrating knowledge of current research into daily treatment of clients/patients/residents
• Treating individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders
• Following and adhering to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organisations
• Exhibiting flexibility with acceptance of variable work schedules/assignments
• Participating in activities to promote the department, Good Samaritan Society and Sanford Health
• Interacting with individuals outside of the department, including providers, case managers, third-party payers, and public organisations
• Supervising assistants, aides, and students as they provide client/patient/resident care, treatment, or other services
• Providing ongoing education and training to peers in areas of expertise

Requirements:

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
• Licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
