Description
Join NVIDIA, the AI computing company, as a Senior Factory Support Firmware Engineer. You'll work with a global team on NVIDIA server designs, focusing on BIOS and BMC firmware development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a global team of BIOS and BMC developers on NVIDIA server designs.
- Write and automate unit tests for each implemented module and create detailed unit test cases.
- Work closely with hardware teams to influence hardware design and provide onsite support for factory-reported issue triage and resolution during product builds.
- Develop test tools and automation with design architects to qualify the entire system software and firmware stack.
Requirements:
- Domain expertise in BIOS or BMC Firmware development on X86 or ARM Platforms, including BMC-BIOS communication, thermal management, power management, firmware updates, device monitoring, and firmware security.
- Strong experience with AMI/Insyde or OpenBMC or UEFI Firmware architecture for server products.
- Proven experience in end-to-end delivery of high-end enterprise servers from definition to customer deployment.
- Solid understanding of low-level interfaces between SBIOS, BMC, and OS, such as I2C/SPI/PCIe/JTAG.
- Experience working closely with HW teams, ODMs, and vendors to introduce and support server platforms.
- Proficiency in C/C++ development, bash/python scripting, and debugging skills in embedded Linux operating environments.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong work ethics, high sense of teamwork, and commitment to delivering quality work.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, with 5+ years of experience as an individual contributor.
Nice to Have:
- Contributions to industry standards like Open Compute, IPMI, DMTF Standards, Redfish, and open source projects.
