Physical Therapist Assistant

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join their team at Marshfield Medical Center–Rice Lake.

The successful candidate will assist patients with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan, under the supervision of a physical therapist, to improve patients' quality of life and ability to perform daily activities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide, monitor, and record therapy services to patients with physical, cognitive, and developmental impairments.
• Select, implement, and modify therapeutic activities and interventions consistent with demonstrated competency levels, patient goals, and practice setting requirements.
• Exchange information with and provide documentation to the physical therapist about patient responses and communications during intervention.
• Be knowledgeable about patient-targeted physical therapy outcomes and provide information and documentation related to outcome achievement.
• Follow and adhere to accepted clinical practice guidelines of the professional organization.

Requirements:

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Graduate of an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice.
• Conforms to the supervision and licensing standards of the state(s) where services are provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.
