Description

The Investment Consultant role is part of the CIO Office and supports the implementation of the Chief Investment Officer's target operating model across investment management, product solutioning, and business growth initiatives.

The position combines investment analytics, portfolio oversight, governance, and reporting responsibilities with the development of investment solutions that support insurance product innovation, customer propositions, and business growth.

Working closely with Product, Actuarial, Distribution, Finance, Risk, and other stakeholders, the role helps translate business objectives into investment strategies and solutions while ensuring alignment with the Company's investment, capital, and risk management objectives.

Responsibilities:

Investment Support and Reporting

  • Perform portfolio analytics, investment monitoring, and performance assessment for assigned asset classes.
  • Prepare investment insights and reporting for management and other stakeholders.
  • Support investment processes and governance activities.

Product Solutions and Business Support

  • Partner with stakeholders to support insurance product development and strategic business initiatives.
  • Develop and evaluate investment solutions for new and existing insurance products.
  • Support product-related investment workstreams from development through implementation and ongoing operation.

Requirements:

  • At least a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, financial engineering, data analytics, statistics, math, economics, or actuarial science.
  • Typically 7-15 years of relevant experience in insurance, investments, asset management, banking, actuarial, product development, or a related financial services function.
  • Good understanding of financial markets and investment products.
  • Ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis and translate investment findings into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound execution judgement and project-management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant investment or analytical tools.
