Counsel, Telecommunications (Starlink)

SpaceXAI's Starlink is a revolutionary satellite constellation providing low-latency broadband internet globally. As a Telecommunications Counsel, you will advise the Starlink team on European and African laws and regulations affecting their business.

Responsibilities:

• Advise the Starlink team on laws, regulations, and policies impacting their business in Europe and parts of Africa, especially telecommunications and internet service laws.
• Analyse legal and regulatory risks, communicating them to business and technical teams for sound compliance decisions and licensing in Europe and Africa.
• Monitor legal and policy developments related to Starlink.
• Interact with governmental agencies on regulatory, consumer protection, and law enforcement matters.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance in the telecommunications industry, specifically broadband and/or satellite services.
• Juris Doctor, Bachelor of Laws, or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• Active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Fluency in French and/or Portuguese.
• Knowledge of telecommunications business and regulatory issues outside the U.S.
• Experience managing legal issues for a high-growth multinational company.

Additional Requirements:

• The position is based in London, England, and requires onsite work - remote and hybrid work arrangements are not considered.
• Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
