Description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.

As a Manufacturing Planner, you will own the critical bridge between engineering design, supply chain, and shop-floor execution for our advanced autonomous systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing Planning & Execution: Direct the creation and maintenance of comprehensive manufacturing plans, oversee the translation of complex 2D/3D engineering drawings into clear work instructions, and optimize operational process routings in our MES.
  • Bill of Materials Management: Own the strategy for creation and maintenance of the MBOM and as-built configuration management, ensuring accurate translation from the EBOM.
  • Production Scheduling & Prioritization: Partner with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to establish build sequences, monitor order flow, and make sequencing and allocation decisions to support production ramp-up.
  • Engineering Change Coordination: Manage engineering changes across active manufacturing plans, assessing impact on active MES routings, work-in-progress, and hardware delivery timelines.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as a primary interface between Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Production Operations to align on goals, resolve line blockers, and meet delivery commitments.
  • DFX Producibility Input: Collaborate upstream with design teams during DFM and DFA reviews to ensure assembly sequences, build procedures, and routings are optimized for cost, quality, and scalability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze manufacturing discrepancies, scrap, and operational process data using first-principles problem-solving and root-cause analysis to enhance production efficiency and yield.
  • Shop-Floor Support: Provide hands-on manufacturing planning support directly on the floor during New Product Introduction (NPI), prototype builds, and rate ramp-ups.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing planning, production planning, or production control within a complex electromechanical or hardware manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in a NPI environment, transitioning complex products from design into sustained, high-rate production.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining MBOMs, building process routings, and translating EBOM structures.
  • Hands-on experience with MES and Product Data Management (PDM) software.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, technical specifications, and process maps.
  • Proven track record of navigating aggressive timelines, resource trade-offs, and prioritization decisions to support delivery commitments.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Direct experience in the maritime, naval, or aerospace defense industry, with an understanding of associated quality and documentation standards (e.g., NAVSEA, MIL-SPEC).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (such as Oracle) for material and production planning.
  • Experience with CAD and PLM software (e.g., Siemens NX, Teamcenter) and issue-tracking platforms (e.g., JIRA).
  • Understanding of statistical process control (SPC), capacity planning, and lean manufacturing principles.
