Legal Operations Manager

You'll be the operational engine behind Firecrawl's legal function, reporting to the General Counsel. This is a build-from-scratch role to stand up systems, processes, and vendor relationships for a lean legal team to keep pace with a rapidly growing company.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain contract management, legal operations, and compliance systems
• Own the legal technology stack: CLM, e-billing, matter management
• Develop and run contract intake and routing processes
• Handle creative and novel tasks that don't require a law degree but need reliable ownership
• Support the legal team with research, regulatory monitoring, and special projects
• Collaborate with finance, sales, product, engineering, HR, and security to keep legal workflows moving
• Manage outside counsel and legal vendor relationships, including billing and budgets
• Identify repetitive work and implement standardization, automation, or elimination using technology and AI
• Track and report on legal spend, contract volume, and turnaround times
• Take on more ownership over time, aligned with your strengths and interests

Requirements:

• Strong organizational skills and high agency
• Ability to process large volumes of AI-generated content accurately
• Experience driving projects to completion independently
• Background in building or improving processes
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Good judgment and discretion with confidential information
• Familiarity with AI tools and willingness to learn new systems quickly
• Intellectual curiosity about legal, business, and technology decisions
