Cook (Sushi)

SpaceXAI is seeking an experienced individual to join their culinary team as a Cook (Sushi). The role involves managing kitchen inventory, focusing on food preparation setup, and ensuring quality and safety in the kitchen and café space.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage inventory levels and ingredients
• Assist in establishing menu specifications
• Maintain product quality according to guidelines
• Enforce food quality standards
• Ensure the safety of the physical kitchen and café space
• Assist with and distribute work schedules
• Oversee front-of-house food preparation

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 3+ years of restaurant/food service production experience

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Sushi kitchen experience
• Degree in culinary arts
• High-volume production and catering experience
• Proven ability to create innovative menus daily
• Ability to perform under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Creative spirit to make the culinary experience part of the SpaceXAI culture

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Physical demands include standing up to 10 hours per day, sitting up to 3 hours per day, pushing/pulling up to 50lbs, lifting/carrying up to 25lbs, and kneeling/crouching up to 6 hours per day

Compensation and Benefits:

• $32.5 - $35 USD per hour
