Description

Ford’s Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVDD) team is charged with delivering the company’s vision of a fully electric transportation future. As Global Supply Manager, you’ll own the end-to-end sourcing strategy for critical vehicle spend.

Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end sourcing strategy for critical spend areas across the UEV platform and follow-on advanced EV programs from sourcing strategy development through SOP, including supplier selection, contracting, and ongoing cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Partner with engineering from concept through launch to align sourcing strategy with technical roadmaps, design freeze milestones, and prototype-to-production transitions.
  • Build first-principles should-cost models with cross-functional teams to drive a ground-up, physics-based part and system cost perspective.
  • Lead make-vs-buy analysis to ensure we have a best-in-class supply chain that delivers optimal value.
  • Develop the supply base for resilience.
  • Drive automation across the supply chain to deliver best-in-class supply chain efficiency.
  • Shape the tools and processes the ADVEV supply chain runs on.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management or commodity management.
  • Experience bringing creative negotiation skills and out-of-the-box strategy.
  • Strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders.
