Description
You will join WSP, a world-class team in the mining and industrial sector, as an Industrial Mechanical Technician/Designer (3D) in our Sept-Îles office.
Your role involves:
- Reviewing client needs, specifications, and tender documents
- Contributing to effective work methods for project delivery
- Supporting conceptual and feasibility studies for industrial projects
- Performing 3D modeling and design for various projects
- Producing drawings, specifications, and details based on industrial-sector guidelines
- Ensuring coordination among project disciplines
- Supervising and verifying the work of mechanical technicians and designers
- Participating in estimating deliverables and schedules for project execution
- Proposing solutions to complex problems
- Identifying and managing design issues
- Conducting field surveys using modern tools like drones, scanners, and laser tapes
- Performing construction site inspections in heavy industrial environments
To succeed, you need:
- DEP or DEC in industrial drafting or relevant experience
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience
- Intermediate proficiency in Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit
- ASP Construction card (for occasional travel)
- Strong communication skills in French and teamwork abilities
