Description
We are seeking a Physiotherapist to join our team at Albyn Hospital in Aberdeen. This is a bank role working on an 'as and when required' basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and manage patients with various musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, orthopaedic, or post-surgical conditions. They will formulate individualised treatment plans, use therapeutic techniques, exercise programmes, manual therapy, and patient education to promote recovery and prevent further injury or deterioration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing and managing patients with various conditions
- Formulating individualised treatment plans
- Using therapeutic techniques, exercise programmes, and manual therapy
- Collaborating with consultants, nurses, and other allied health professionals
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and ward rounds
- Referring patients to other services where required
- Managing own caseload efficiently
To be considered, applicants should have:
- A BSc (Hons) or MSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent qualification)
- HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
- Strong understanding of clinical reasoning, assessment techniques, and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
