Pepper Machine Harvest Intern

As a Pepper Machine Harvest Intern at Bayer Crop Science, you will advance hot and sweet pepper harvest innovations by identifying and solving critical steps to improve the marketable yield for mechanically harvested varieties.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Designing data collection protocols and executing field experiments with attention to detail;
• Coordinating technical work plans and timelines across functional teams;
• Collecting, documenting, and analyzing experimental data;
• Synthesizing findings to inform next steps;
• Communicating results and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences;
• Adhering to all safety guidelines and completing required training sessions.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Current M.S. or PhD student in one of the following areas: Plant Breeding, Agronomy, Plant Genetics, or Plant Science;
• Experience conducting field trials, developing protocols, and managing projects independently;
• Well-versed in experimental design, quantitative genetics, and data analysis (QA/QC, summary statistics, trait relationships);
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams.
