Description
We are seeking a CAN/LIN System Development Engineer to support CAN/LIN system development activities at the project level, ensuring consistency between system requirements, communication interfaces, and vehicle network implementation.
The successful candidate will work closely with AEES and E/E Architecture on CAN/LIN-related topics, providing detailed technical analysis and supporting architecture-level decisions. You will validate requests for creation, modification, or use of CAN/LIN parameters together with AEES/AEEA and relevant system stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Integrating new or modified communication parameters according to applicable CAN/LIN rules, AUTOSAR constraints, and defined development processes
- Defining and maintaining CAN/LIN messages, signals, and communication interfaces, ensuring consistency with system and ECU requirements
- Preparing, maintaining, and delivering CAN/LIN communication files and specifications, including MSRS, DBC, ARXML, and LDF
- Supporting ECU communication integration and monitoring CAN/LIN communication maturity throughout project development
- Performing or supporting CAN/LIN hardware and network testing and contributing to root-cause analysis in case of abnormal network behaviour
- Analysing communication traces, network issues, and interface inconsistencies in coordination with System, ECU, Software, and Validation teams
- Defining the CAN ZT resistor distribution strategy according to applicable network rules and coordinating architecture impacts with AEES/AEEA
- Supporting communication-related change impact analysis, technical reviews, validation activities, and project convergence
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical/electronic engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics, embedded systems, system engineering, or a related field
- Professional experience in automotive E/E, vehicle communication, ECU integration, or system engineering development
- Solid knowledge of CAN and LIN communication protocols and associated automotive standards
- Experience with CAN/LIN message and signal definition and automotive communication interfaces
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR communication concepts and constraints
- Experience with CAN/LIN network analysis, troubleshooting, and communication trace interpretation
- A structured and analytical approach to technical problem-solving
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across System, E/E Architecture, Software, Validation, and ECU engineering teams
- Good written and spoken English
We offer:
- A young and dynamic team working in a professional, international environment
- Continuous professional and personal development programs
