Description
We are seeking a Full-stack Engineer 4 to join our Global Payment Network (GPN) Technology organization, specifically within the Digital Payments group. The successful candidate will help modernize Digital Payments to eliminate fraud and protect every entity within Payments. You will lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers to create solutions that meet regulatory needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems
- Staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, and mentoring other engineers
- Collaborating with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions
- Utilizing programming languages like Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Providing technical leadership and direction across Agile teams
- Partnering with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks
- Proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted refactoring
- Influencing long-term technology strategy through evaluation of emerging tools and practices
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms
Preferred qualifications include:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 7+ years of experience coding with multiple programming languages
- 3+ years of experience with database and database management systems
- 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or cloud-based productivity tools
- 4+ years of experience contributing to open source frameworks
In terms of compensation, the salary range for this role in Riverwoods, IL is $179,400 - $204,700 per year. This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation.
